DetailsThis painting was started 15 years before I finished it. It sat, forgotten, in my attic for years before I found it and set it in the 'toss out' pile. But one day before I tossed it, I happened to see it in a new light, with new potential. I painted the magnolias I had started what seemed like a life-time ago with a new stroke and style, and I loved the way they turned out for both the visual outcome and the meaning and layers behind it. Hence the name, "Second Chance Magnolias".
